Many older machines have these holes, but many newer ones do not. Other accessories like folder or hemmer attachments also mount there. Without the threaded hole there would be no way to fasten this attachment.DougVLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00861959348774075438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26975001.post-19003040179061911022015-01-03T17:26:04.164-05:002015-01-03T17:26:04.164-05:00It seems this attachment probably won't work o...It seems this attachment probably won't work on the Singer Quantum 9960 since there's mention of low-shank machines causing it to spin. Anyone ever tried it specifically for this machine? No matter the tension setting, use stabilizer to get the best results.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06178082064264214841noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26975001.post-6530004465284187802014-08-07T20:43:06.609-04:002014-08-07T20:43:06.609-04:00I just give mine a good tug and it comes off.I just give mine a good tug and it comes off.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06178082064264214841noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26975001.post-61342943523553087122014-08-07T20:42:13.211-04:002014-08-07T20:42:13.211-04:00Thanks Ed, I recently bought one of these and alth...Thanks Ed, I recently bought one of these and although it came with the box, it didn't have instructions either. Granted, it's not difficult to figure out, I like seeing what the manufacturer has to say in case there's stuff I'm not thinking of. If you saw the Sewing with Nancy Circular attachment for embroidery embellishment you pretty much have it made. It fit really well on the 603E I have, but other machines don't have the bobbin plate in place that keeps it from spinning once installed on the bed. Just in case anyone was wondering if it will work on a low shank machine, I tried it on two different Singer machines and the unit spins.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06178082064264214841noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26975001.post-9148300004648034422014-04-03T06:00:15.632-04:002014-04-03T06:00:15.632-04:00It has been a while since I saw one of these in pe...It has been a while since I saw one of these in person but, if I remember, the pivot pin is like a thumbtack and the cap has a rubber center to hold it on the pivot pin. The cap should just pull off. Maybe someone who has a more recent experience with the circular stitcher will chime in to verify. -EdAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06057276731453019090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26975001.post-39205524349821853752014-04-02T17:15:52.395-04:002014-04-02T17:15:52.395-04:00How do you remove the white cap? I was afraid if I pulled too hard I might break it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
